We were founded in 2013 in Bahia, Brazil, with a bold and clear mission: to bring innovation, safety, and comfort to the light-sport aviation market. What began as a dream to create a better aircraft soon became Montaer—a name now recognized by pilots and enthusiasts around the world.

Our journey took off with the Montaer MC-01, a high-wing aircraft that redefined comfort, visibility, and modern design in the light-sport category. Building on this success, we introduced the Montaer MC-04, our four-seat model that brings Montaer’s signature quality and innovation to a broader mission profile. In keeping with our belief that the freedom of flight should be accessible to everyone, we also offer adapted control systems for pilots with physical disabilities—available on any Montaer model.

Today, Montaer has grown into an international brand with its U.S. headquarters in Florida, strengthening global partnerships and representing our aircraft at major aviation events worldwide. Our work now extends beyond manufacturing, encompassing sales, distribution, pilot training, and long-term support for our growing family of owners.

OUR HISTORY
Founded Legacy, Modern Vision
Founded in 2013 in Bahia, Brazil, by renowned aeronautical designer Bruno de Oliveira, MONTAER set out to redefine the Light-Sport Aircraft (LSA) category. The company’s flagship model, the MONTAER MC-01, represents a new generation of sport aircraft. Inspired by the proven Paradise aircraft family yet thoroughly reimagined, the MC-01 combines a superior high-wing design with an all-metal airframe, delivering exceptional durability, performance, and aesthetics.

Every MC-01 is crafted with precision and pride—featuring a welded passenger safety cell, solid metal rivets for structural integrity, and dual yokes for optimal control. The cabin boasts an immaculate fit and finish, complemented by the most advanced avionics available in the global LSA market, ensuring pilots enjoy both technological sophistication and flying comfort.

Milestones of Excellence

2019 – FAA Acceptance: MONTAER achieved full FAA LSA acceptance, meeting ASTM International Standards, opening the U.S. market for operations under Sport Pilot privileges.

2021 – U.S. Expansion: The company established a permanent U.S. presence at DeLand Municipal Airport, Florida, offering sales, technical support, and pilot training for those seeking a premium sport-flying experience. That same year, MONTAER proudly delivered its first MC-01 equipped with hand controls to a customer with a disability—promptly making this adaptation a standard option at no additional cost, reinforcing the belief that every pilot should have the opportunity to fly.​
2022 – Innovation & Sponsorship: As an Elite Sponsor of the Aero Showcase | DeLand, MONTAER introduced its first MC-01 powered by the cutting-edge ROTAX 915iS engine, delivering an impressive 141 horsepower and redefining performance expectations in the LSA class.

2024 – Global Expansion: MONTAER marked a new chapter in its international presence with the delivery of its first aircraft in Asia. This milestone was quickly followed by the establishment of new distribution channels in Australia and the United Kingdom, strengthening the company’s footprint across three continents. These achievements underscore MONTAER’s commitment to making its aircraft accessible to aviators worldwide.

2025 – Growth & Innovation: Construction of MONTAER’s new state-of-the-art factory began, a facility designed to increase production capacity while maintaining the artisanal craftsmanship that defines the brand. Alongside this expansion, MONTAER unveiled its highly anticipated new aircraft model the MC-04—expanding the product family beyond the MC-01 and opening a new horizon of possibilities for pilots seeking performance, comfort, and versatility in the sport aviation market.
